The Elgin Grabouw Country Club was founded in 1987 by passionate people who saw the potential of this magnificent setting and established it as a recreational sporting and social facility. The Club is located in the Kogelberg biosphere region which is rich in fauna and flora, situated on the edge of the Hottentots Holland Nature Reserve in the Elgin Valley, only one hour’s drive from Cape Town. The Club has a genuine country feel with beautiful views of the lake, mountains and nature reserve which contributes to the tranquil, family environment. Facilities include a full service clubhouse complete with restaurant, two function rooms and a veranda for hosting outdoor events. Functions and Facilities The Elgin Grabouw Club is situated in the rich biodiversity hotspot of the Kogelberg Biosphere and has breath-taking views of the Eikenhof Dam, Hottentots-Holland Mountain range and Groenland Mountain range which makes this venue a highly sought after venue for all types of functions. The management team and kitchen staff at the Club handle approximately 200 functions annually. These functions include weddings, conferences, year-end functions, team buildings, business functions, sport functions, film shoots, birthday parties and any type of special events etc…… Our dedicated and well experienced team have built a solid reputation for providing some of the best and most memorable experiences for large numbers of clients and guests. We handle each function individually as we know that each function is unique. We provide value for money quotations which has led to a high percentage of clients and guests returning to the venue. The versatility of the venue lends itself to a large variety of possible layout and or setup options. There are multiple venue options available. The medium hall can seat up to 60 people and can be used for intimate weddings or corporate meetings/seminars. The large hall can seat up to 130 people depending on the seating layout. It should be noted that the combination of deck, medium hall and large hall can provide seating for up to 200-250 guests. The Club’s layout is truly one of the most versatile when it comes to the planning of functions. Weddings The Elgin Grabouw Country club will be the perfect setting for your special day. You can exchange vows in a beautiful outdoor ceremony set against a lush green backdrop with its spectacular mountain and lake views. With a professional, friendly team, excellent cuisine and extensive menu options, the Club ensures that the high standards are met for all weddings. Guest House The Guest House is situated on the Elgin Grabouw Country Club premises. Perfect for wedding couples, event organizers, families, athletes and friends. The Guest House sleeps a maximum of 6 people. Big Event Paradise The Elgin Grabouw Country Club is has several large outside areas that can be utilized for big events such as concerts, movie shoots, and major sporting events. We can comfortably accommodate up to 5,000 people.
