Winner of the TudorSigma African Photo Entrepreneur of the Year 2008, Karen a.k.a Kay, is a graduate of the New York Institute of Photography and also a licentiate member of the South African Professional Photographers (SAPP). Karen uses state-of-the-art Canon Digital equipment resulting in superb quality imaging. Kay Photography is based in Gauteng but operates country-wide. A Word from the Photographer: Kay Photography started out as my ‘million dollar question’ – If I had a million dollars and money was no issue, what would I be doing with my time? The answer was simple… I’d be taking photos! Not too many people can say that they’ve had the opportunity to turn their passion into their career – so I consider myself thoroughly blessed. I thrive on finding beauty in everything. Even the one single raindrop that lands on my car windshield in rush hour traffic... keeping my eye on the droplet rather than the manic herding of automobiles. My personal challenge though was to find a healthy balance between being artistic & easy-going and running a successful, well-oiled business with incomparable turnaround times and unrivaled customer service. There's no point in taking exceptional photographs but frustrating your customers with regards to general feedback and actual delivery time. As the saying goes: “You are only as good as your last job”... and if I may add to it…”you are only as good as your last promise.” So armed with both passion and conscientiousness, I guarantee excellence, outstanding service, flexibility, honesty and good communication at all times.
